Technical Overview
Nimway consists of mobile apps for Android and iOS, room panels and digital floorplans. We have based Nimway on Sony’s patented world class indoor positioning solution, powered by Bluetooth beacons and wireless occupancy sensors. Nimway connects to all standard calendar systems, such as Office 365, Exchange and Google Suite. Based on your needs, we will together select the solution that suits your organisation.

The Sony meeting room panel is perfect for visualizing the booking and occupancy status of the meeting room, and reducing no-shows, booking confusion and interruptions. In combination with the Nimway sensors, the panel will not only show the booking status, but also if the room is occupied or not. The manual or automatic check-in feature frees up unused rooms. The tablets are remotely managed with software updates and configuration, hence maintenance free.

The uniquely patented Sony floorplan intuitively guides you to your next meeting. It handles multiple users simultaneously without any interaction from the users. The Sony floorplans are maintenance free with remote monitoring, remote software updates and remote configuration changes.

The Nimway mobile app for Android and iOS is the employee’s digital assistant in the office. The app offers all the Nimway use cases in a truly simple and enjoyable experience. The mobile app uses the Sony positioning beacons installed in the buildings, in combination with on-board sensors and map information to position the employee indoors and provide relevant guidance.

The Nimway occupancy sensors are truly unique in the market, offering outstanding real-time accuracy and battery performance. They are beautifully designed in Sweden and manufactured to the highest requirements by the Sony UK Technology centre in Wales. To be able to deliver the best real-time meeting room status updates, Sony has developed a unique sensor fusion technology for instant room vacancy detection. The sensor data is sent wirelessly using a low frequency band with long indoor range, without interfering with business critical Wi-Fi networks.
